Hey Folks,
Not much is new (visibly, at least) at the grove this week as far as the blooms go. Each week when I walk the loop I notice a few more flower buds (not new ones, I just didn’t see them before) but the numbers are down this year. The buds are still as tight as they usually are this time of year, although development that we can’t easily see is certainly happening inside the bud. Plants can be very subtle as well as dramatic.
A few mushrooms came up after the rain, and no obvious storm damage was seen along the loop today. I heard a few of the more obvious songbirds – I wouldn’t know if something unusual was there – I’ll bet there was – oh well…
One new thing I noticed was some well-needed signs along the loop – looks good!

Great to read this, Ted! I enjoyed our walk there last summer. This might inspire me to get down there again in the next week or few.
